The ATP has announced the nominees for its prestigious year-end awards, with winners set to be unveiled during Awards Week beginning December 8th. This year’s categories spotlight the tour’s top competitors, its most promising newcomers, and the mastermind coaches behind their success.

A notable change marks the 2025 voting process: for the first time, the winners of the Breakthrough of the Year and Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award will be decided by the members of the exclusive ATP No. 1 Club—the group of 29 current and former World No. 1 players.

Breakthrough of the Year

This award recognizes the player who made the most significant leap on tour this season, based on milestone victories, a major rise in the rankings, and capturing first ATP titles. The focus is on the tour’s rising stars.

  • Jack Draper (GBR): The British No. 1 broke into the Top 5 and captured his maiden Masters 1000 crown at Indian Wells.

  • Joao Fonseca (BRA): The charismatic teen made waves with deep runs at major events, cementing his status as a future star.

  • Jakub Mensik (CZE): The powerful Czech announced his arrival with a series of stunning upsets and his first ATP final.

  • Valentin Vacherot (MON): Achieved a career-high ranking and claimed his first ATP title with consistent, climbing performances.



Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award

This honor goes to the player who best embodies professionalism, integrity, and fair play, both in competition and through off-court conduct.
